Our focus is on children suffering from long-term, life-threatening illnesses and the impact this has on them and their families.

Our long term mission is to co-ordinate the collection and analysis of relevant data to support research into the epidemiology of these life-threatening conditions. In other words research into the relationship between conditions such as childhood cancer (which are most ascribed to causes unknown) and lifestyle including diet and environmental conditions.

We build relationships with affected families by providing practical support, hope and encouragement in their time of need.

The Dylan Smith Foundation is currently in the process of being registered as a charitable organisation in Australia.
